The City of Gosnells has lit up for Christmas with a number of residences entering the safe city Christmas lights competition.

City of Gosnells mayor Olwen Searle said the safe city Christmas lights competition had become an anticipated feature of the Christmas period within the city.

“Every year, these Christmas light displays become more exciting and exhilarating,” she said.

“I encourage everyone to view the entrants in the safe city Christmas lights competition, enjoy their creativity and become immersed in the festive spirit.”

Sponsors include Examiner Newspapers, Maddington central and Control Print Online.

Tahoe Close and Consulate Court in Thornlie were both contenders for the most decorated street while individual residences could be found in Canning Vale, Gosnells, Huntingdale, Maddington, Southern River and Thornlie.
