A 38 year old man who escaped custody from Fremantle police station last night with a 29 year old Gosnells woman has been arrested following a dramatic police chase today.
Danny Jay Brooks escaped from the station last night and was seen in the company of the Gosnells woman this afternoon.
He stole a Toyota Camry and led police on a chase through Perth’s southern suburbs before coming to a stop on Hammond Road and North Lake Road, South Lake.
Mr Brooks was charged with aggravated armed robbery, stealing a motor vehicle and breach of bail.
The Gosnells woman was arrested by police on Market Street Fremantle this morning and appeared in Fremantle Magistrates Court today after being charged with escaping lawful custody and possessing stolen and unlawfully obtained property.
