Mundijong police were continuing their focus on stealing from cars as well as homes under construction according to acting senior sergeant Bron Umbras.

Snr Sgt Umbras said Mundijong police had two recent arrests in the Byford area, which has been a hotspot for this type of crime.

A 28-year old Byford man was charged with stealing after allegedly removing five colourbond fencing panels from Byford West Estate in March and would appear in Armadale Magistrates Court in August.

A 32-year-old Orelia man was also charged with stealing after allegedly removing a large quantity of electrical cabling installed into a home under construction on Wakeham Street, Byford on July 4.

He would also appear in Armadale Magistrates Court in August.

Snr Sgt Umbras said police had also charged a 23-year-old Medina man with reckless driving after his vehicle was seen doing burnouts on Mundijong Road, Mardella on July 12.
He had his vehicle seized for 28 days and would appear in Armadale Magistrates Court in August.
