Thirteen outstanding young athletes from the Burt electorate have been recognised for their talent and achievements.

They were awarded in a ceremony with local member Matt Keogh as part of the Local Sporting Champions program.

“Our community has some incredible and diverse sporting talent that deserves to be recognised,” Mr Keogh said.

“When so much news can be negative, it is important to celebrate the success of our local athletes.”

“These Local Sporting Champions represent our community across the country and even overseas.”

“Congratulations to these local legends, I can’t wait to see what they achieve next.”
