A 54-year-old Oakford man will face court later this month after he allegedly pointed a blue laser light at a Police helicopter on patrol.
About 11.45pm on June 29 the pilot of the helicopter reported being visually impaired by a bright blue laser on four occasions while patrolling the Oakford area.
The helicopter crew were able to direct Police on the ground to an address in Swamp Gum Road, Oakford, where a man was arrested and a laser pointer was seized.
The man was charged with causing fear or alarm to the driver or pilot of a conveyance or others and will appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court later this month.
