Two lucky lotto players each pocketed $3330,000 from Saturday Lotto prize money following the weekend’s draw.
The Division 1 winning tickets were sold at Forest Lakes Lottery Centre in Thornlie and Bayswater News and Lotteries on July 22.
Forest Lakes Lottery Centre owner Haresh Kerai said this was the second Division 1 winning ticket sold in Thornlie in less than four months.
“A ticket worth over half a million dollars was sold back in March,” he said.
“The weekend wins mark the 36th and 37th Division 1 wins for WA so far this year.”
Mr Kerai’s brother and business partner Danny Khetani said he believed in luck.
“We must just be lucky ourselves,” he said.
“We definitely feel that way.”
Lotterywest spokeswoman Chloe Lawler said she hoped the state’s roll of Lotto luck would continue with the $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw just days away.
“They say when it rains it pours and that certainly seems to be the case in WA at the moment,” she said.
“So grab your brolly, brace the cold and purchase a ticket in this Saturday’s Superdraw as your weekend could get a whole lot sunnier.”
It is expected the Superdraw will generate more than $3.5 million for the state community.
Ms Lawler said when residents purchased Lotterywest products about one-third of every dollar spent was returned to benefit the community.
According to Lotterywest, the odds of bagging a Saturday Division 1 in any single game panel is one in 8,145,060.
The game with the highest odds of winning any prize is Oz Lotto at 1 in 87.
