Playing at home, Lynwood Ferndale Football Club Panthers league team defeated Bassendean on the weekend.
The Lynwood players were fired up to make it three wins out of three in 2017 and were switched on from the opening bounce.
Lynwood looked the better team in the first half but in the second half Bassendean came out strong to take the lead.
The Lynwood boys rallied to re-take the lead heading into the fourth quarter.
A big final quarter was needed with the team kicking toward the wind and the players controlled the ball and managed to create several scoring opportunities.
The Panthers ended the game 15 points ahead.
The final scores were Lynwood 11.10 (76) to Bassendean 9.7 (61).

On the same day Lynwood Reserves team went down to Bassendean reserves, losing by 50 points.
After a strong first quarter Lynwood reserves were second best for the remainder of the game.
The final score was Lynwood 2.6 (17) to Bassendean 9.10 (64).
