A 27-year-old Maddington woman was punched several times in the face and robbed at a petrol station on High Road on Wednesday night.
At about 9pm, Dollvy Van Luyn stopped to fill up her white Lexus sedan when a white Mazda hatch vehicle stopped nearby and a male passenger approached her and stole her backpack from inside the vehicle.
Ms Luyn tried to stop the man but was punched in the face several times causing her to fall to the ground.
The man ran back to the Mazda and drove off.
Ms Luyn was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with minor injuries.
The man has been described as dark skinned aged between 16 to 19 years, solid build and wearing a blue hooded top.

Vehicle stolen
It has been alleged the white Mazda the offender drove away in was stolen from Karawara around 7.10pm on Wednesday.
It was then allegedly involved in a fuel drive off at a service station in Karawara 10 minutes later.
The car was later recovered abandoned in Redcliffe just before midnight.
