A young man has been charged by police after allegedly sexually assaulting a 47-year-old woman in Armadale yesterday.
Police allege at around 5pm on December 6, a 19-year-old man approached the woman as she walked on Eighth Road.
She was forced to the ground and sexually assaulted.
The man then ran from the area and the woman was helped by passers-by.
He was tracked down in Brookdale later that evening and arrested, charged with aggravated sexual penetration without consent and assault.
He will appear at Armadale Magistrates Court today.
Police have called on motorists who may have passed the area at the time of the incident to get in contact with them.
The incident came less than three weeks after an incident involving Eighth Road in which an older man committed an indecent act in front of a group of children.
At around 11am on November 22 a group of children were on Tijuana Road in southeast Armadale near Dale Christian School when police allege the man committed the indecent act.
He then proceeded to walk northeast in the direction of Eighth Avenue.
The man was wearing black Everlast branded tracksuit pants with white writing, black shoes and no shirt.
He was described as fair-skinned, between 40 and 50-years-old with a slim build and short grey hair.
He had head and chest tattoos.
