Major crash investigators have charged a 44 year old Oakford man after a crash in Kelmscott on Brookton Highway on September 2 that left a 55 year old male truck driver dead.
At about 3.45pm the Oakford man was driving a Dodge utility towing a caravan and third trailer loaded with quadbikes.
As the Dodge passed the Stony Brook Bridge on Brookton Highway the third trailer became unhitched and crossed onto the other side of the road colliding heavily with a Hino truck.
The truck driver received critical injuries and was taken to Armadale Hospital where he later died.
The Oakford man was charged with dangerous driving causing death and will appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court December 13.
