Armadale Detectives have charged a 43-year-old Camillo man with Unlawful Wounding following an incident in Armadale on Wednesday, August 11.

It is alleged around 4.40pm the victim, a 16-year-old male, and the man were on Commerce Avenue, near Fourth Road, when they became involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical.

It will be alleged the man stabbed the teenager causing a laceration to his lower chest.

The victim was conveyed to Armadale Hospital for treatment.

Forensics taped off the scene of the incident to the public on the night of August 11 and were searching the area for evidence.

A 43-year-old Camillo man appeared in the Armadale Magistrates Court on August 12.
