A budding artist from Clifton Hills Primary School was announced as one of four winners from Donna Faragher MLC’s last ever Christmas Card Art Competition.

Now in its 20th year, this annual competition gives students the opportunity to enter creative Christmas designs from which the winning artwork is chosen.

Ms Faragher said Clifton Hills Primary student Matilda’s drawing of Santa was a “festive favourite”.

“As you can imagine, it is extremely difficult to choose the winners as the entries are always of a very high standard. We certainly have many creative students across these schools,” she said.

“As I am not contesting the 2025 State Election and will be retiring from State Parliament next year, this will be my last Christmas Art Competition.

“Over 20 years, the competition has brought a great deal of enjoyment to me and all the schools who have participated.

“Since the first competition in 2005, I have received thousands of entries over the years so a big thank you to everyone who has entered and made the competition so very special and fun.”

All entries received in this year’s competition will be on display at Donna Faragher’s office at Ground Floor, 108 Swan Street Guildford.

“The artwork is decorating the windows of my electorate office and I am sure you will agree that all of the entries will spread Christmas joy to everyone passing by,” Ms Faragher said.
