Motorheads have their day

About 86 cars were on show at the final stop at Whiteman Park.

Shiny hotted-up vehicles, coupled with a beautiful winter’s day, made for the perfect concoction for this year’s American Independence Day car run.

Hosted by the American Car Club of WA, the event attracted hundreds of people who had a keen eye for the many products of yesteryear’s American motoring industry.

Treasurer Brian Joesbury said this year’s run produced one of the best turnouts with 86 cars on exhibit at the final stop.

“Just about all the vehicles on show were American, which is exciting as you don’t normally see cars like that outside of these types of events,” he said.

“It was a good family-friendly day out and good weather makes all the difference.”

This year’s run started at the Livingston Shopping Centre car park in Canning Vale and finished at Whiteman Park, outside the motor museum.
