Almost instantly after a publisher read the first chapter of Sonia Bellhouse’s manuscript she asked when it could be printed.
The story Fire and Ice was first started in October last year and all 27 chapters were completed by Christmas Eve in order to get it to the printers in time for next month’s launch.
Ms Bellhouse said she had her manuscript assessed by a professional editor who went through two rounds of edits until she was happy with the final product.
“Fire and Ice is about an Olympic dancer Blaise Daniels whose partner has just called it quits leaving her with no chance of competing at the Winter Olympics,” she said.
“Determined not to give up on her dream she travels to Norway to meet legendary skater Kristoffer Erikson.
“After a bumpy start they connect both on and off the ice and their partnership seems assured but why do they both start having dreams of a mysterious viking past?”
Member for Armadale Tony Buti will officially launch the book at a free event at the Armadale Library on February 16 from 2pm.
