The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale has gifted the Darling Downs Residents Association (DDRA) a new tractor to assist with maintaining the Darling Downs Equestrian Park, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience for riders and visitors.

The $45,000 tractor replaces a 20-year-old machine that had become unsafe due to mechanical issues, including the four-wheel drive system dropping out.

With this new equipment, the DDRA will be able to efficiently carry out essential maintenance tasks like removing fallen trees and debris, mowing tall grass to reduce fire risk, leveling ground where soil has banked up, improving access for riders and pedestrians, and lifting and upgrading horse jumps to enhance the park’s facilities.
