This year’s theme for International Day of People with Disability 2019, was promoting the participation of persons with disabilities and their leadership and Southern Districts Netball Association was at the forefront.

On December 3, Southern Districts Netball Association celebrated the day by promoting their No Limits Netball program which was developed five years ago with an aim to
provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to engage in netball.

On the day there was a demonstration game of the No Limits team the Red Devils, playing against the Harlequins Netball Club.

Development officer Bev Gallager said the event was a success with young children and adults gathering in one place to celebrate.

“Celebrating International Day of Disability means a lot to us as an inclusive netball association as we have programs for all abilities,” she said.

“It’s an opportunity open for people to engage with netball, meet new friends and play sport in a safe environment.”

With 12 ongoing members the Red Devils meet on a regular basis and compete in carnivals against other No Limits teams around Perth.
