A woman is dead and two people have been seriously injured after a head-on collision between a car and a bus in Piara Waters last night.

At around 5.20pm on April 19 a grey Suzuki Vitara Wagon, driven by a 34-year-old woman, was travelling west on Armadale Road near Taylor Road when it collided with a Toyota Coaster Bus travelling in the opposite direction.

A 51-year-old female bus passenger received serious pelvic, abdominal and leg injuries and later died at Royal Perth Hospital, while the 52-year-old male driver of the bus received minor leg injuries and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital.

The Suzuki driver was also taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with head and arm injuries, while her 34-year-old male passenger was flown to Royal Perth Hospital with pelvic and leg injuries.

Police are seeking witnesses who may have seen the Suzuki or Toyota in the Piara Waters area prior to or at the time of the crash.
