From being the baker from Byford to being elected to State Parliament in 2005 and now running in his fourth election campaign, Member for Darling Range Tony Simpson said politics was a lot of things, especially rewarding.
“The more you can help people the more it takes you down the road to politics,” he said.
The youngest of five Mr Simpson is married with two girls and said he wanted to make a difference in the community.
Some of the key issues he will be addressing in the lead up to the state election include population growth in Byford, transport access and the need for community facilities and activities.
Although he described his campaign as hot because of the heat when he is out doorknocking Mr Simpson said it was going well.
