Patients who were down on their luck at Armadale Hospital received a welcome visit and a tasty treat last weekend.
Community volunteer stalwart Ben Boekholt has been delivering Easter eggs to patients in hospital over the Easter break for the past 12 years and this was no exception.
“We delivered about 425 eggs this year,” he said.
“The response from patients is very nice and some bring a tear to them and us.
“The smiles on their faces is great and it makes us very happy to see them smiling in their difficult time.”
Mr Boekholt said the Easter egg run would not be possible without the support of several local businesses and organisations including Armadale Salvation Army, Dome Armadale, Big W Armadale, Woolworths Armadale and the Armadale and Kelmscott Lions Clubs.
