Whether you have a four-legged furry friend or one with feathers and a beak there will be plenty to see and do at the next installment of the Bedfordale Bush Markets.

The next market, on August 24, will be about chickens and pets and this time the invitation has been extended to include your favourite pet.

Bedfordale Residents Association president and event organiser Liz Reed said the markets promise to be a fun morning out for the whole family with lots to see and do.

“We have alpacas you can have a selfie with, baby chicks you can pet, WA greyhound adoptions, various dog treats and accessories, Hands-On Dog Wash and Just Right Canine Massage plus Foothills Animal Hospital and Perth Rescue Angels are coming with kittens for adoption,” she said.

“There will also be a best dressed pet competition and a pet shaming competition on our Bedfordale Bush Markets Facebook page.

“Plus we are hosting a bake sale and all proceeds will go to Perth Rescue Angels.”

Children will be kept busy with a number of activities including pot painting, slime making and making your own pet rock, while parents browse the many handmade stalls for local products such as honey, bread, paddock to plate meat, fresh eggs and vegetables.

Markets were usually held every fourth Saturday of the month at the Bedfordale Hall on Admiral Road.
