Police searched two houses found being used as cannabis-growing operations.

Four people have been charged after police found $50,000 in cash during a traffic stop which led them to two cannabis growing operations on opposite sides of Perth.

About 2.30pm on July 4 Armadale Police officers stopped and searched a vehicle in Tranmore Street, Canning Vale.

They found the cash and further inquiries led them to an Osborne Park home.

Inside the house they found a hydroponic setup and further inquiries led them to a Rivervale home.

On July 5 police entered ahouse in St Kilda Road and found more 60 cannabis plants inside.

Police said the house had been fully converted into a cannabis-growing operation and as a result of the investigation four people were arrested and charged with various drug offences.

They appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on July 5.
