A 30-year-old Roleystone man will appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court today after police found child exploitation material on his electronic devices.

The Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team started investigating child exploitation images being posted on the internet in September 2015

Detectives searched a Roleystone property on July 1 and seized electronic devices allegedly belonging to the man with images of child exploitation.

The man has been charged with possession of child exploitation material and using a carriage service to distribute child exploitation material.

The JACET is a joint taskforce between Australian Federal Police and WA Police to combat online child exploitation.

The national Think U Know cyber safety education program is focused on preventing children from being groomed or mistreated online.
