Queen of Apostles School students were abuzz at this year’s colour run which raised more than $9000 for the school.

Last Friday, Queen of Apostles School was filled with vibrant energy as more than 200 students, participated in the Colour Explosion event.

Approximately 200 parents and community members joined the festivities, creating an atmosphere filled with smiles and encouragement.

The event, held on the school grounds, saw parent volunteers and former Queenies graduates adding to the excitement by lining the oval armed with coloured powder.

Organised by the dedicated Parents and Friends Association (P&F) of Queen of Apostles School, the event aimed to raise funds to upgrade classroom furniture and enhance playground facilities.

The Colour Explosion event is more than just fun; it’s a key part of our fundraising,” said Mr Mark Ryan, Principal of Queen of Apostles School.

“It’s wonderful to see everyone working together to support our school’s needs. The enthusiasm from our students, parents, volunteers, and sponsors really boosts our fundraising efforts and shows our community’s commitment to improving our school.”

The event, which surpassed expectations, raised over $9,000 to upgrade classroom furniture and enhance playground facilities.

Generous prize donations from Dr Jags Krishnan, Member for Riverton, George’s Bikes Willetton, and Beyond Skate Cannington contributed to its success.

City of Canning Deputy Mayor Amanda Spencer-Teo took part, further highlighting the community’s support for the school and its initiatives.

With the dedication of volunteers and the enthusiastic participation of students, the Colour Explosion proved to be a memorable occasion.

The top student fundraisers will be announced and awarded at special gathering at the school, on the morning of Friday 3 May 2024.
