Parents can keep kids entertained and off technology during the winter school holidays with Byford Basketball Association’s basketball camp.
The school holiday period can be a challenging time for parents.
Kids lose their routine that school provided and screen consumption goes up dramatically.
To help, Byford Basketball Association is offering a three-day fun-filled basketball camp these July holidays.
Their camps are open to all school-aged kids from five and up. There are two groups – one for littlies, and one for older kids. All levels of experience are welcome.
Not only are the holiday camps a great way to keep kids entertained, but they also provide an active, and social outlet for them while school is out.
Each three-hour day is structured so that kids will learn a variety of fundamental skills including footwork, passing, shooting, ball handling, and advance offensive moves and skills.
The camp has been personally designed and each day is action-packed with drills, games, competitions, and full court 3v3 games.
And there are prizes to be won.
The day begins at 9am and finishes by 12pm, with morning tea provided every day to each child.
The camp runs from July 9 to 11 at the YMCA Rec Centre in Byford, and is priced at $120 per person.
