Strongmen and Scottish terriers took over Minnawarra Park on Sunday with the City of Armadale’s Perth kilt run challenge and Highland Gathering.
There were about 350 runners in this year’s kilt run, more than 3300 shy of current world record holder Perth in Canada.
More than 10,000 punters visited Minnawarra Park throughout the day to enjoy the Scottish delights of the Highland Gathering.
The heavy events were a highlight with athletes impressing crowds during the caber toss and putting the stone.
The medieval village and battles were also popular with children and adults alike as thousands gathered to watch the warriors fight it out in mock battles.
