A 26 year old Armadale man is in a critical but stable condition in Royal Perth Hospital today after he was stabbed in the chest during an altercation in the Jull Street Mall just after midnight.
Armadale detectives are investigating the incident.
It’s the second serious stabbing in the mall in less than a year.
The man was with others in the Armadale CBD just after midnight when he was approached by a man and his group of his friends.
They became involved in a verbal altercation and the victim was stabbed in his chest multiple times.
The offender ran from the scene along Jull Street towards Orchard Avenue.
The victim sought assistance at a nearby service station on Third Road.
St John Ambulance received a call at 12.18am and arrived shortly after to take him to Armadale Kelmscott Hospital.
He has since been transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.
Police will continue their inquiries into the incident today.

In February last year a 29-year-old man was stabbed in the back outside the Armadale Shopping City entrance and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
