The Sikh Association of WA opened its doors to the public last weekend with an open day to showcase the association’s Gurdwara, family atmosphere and amazing food.

Sikh families and members gathered in colourful garb to celebrate, talk and laugh.

Growing from around 12 Sikh members in the 1970s the group now includes thousands of members from around Perth many of whom gather at the Gurdwara every Sunday.

The Sikh religion was open to anyone and everyone.

Anyone interested was encouraged to head along on a Sunday to find out what it’s all about.
