Warm spring days in Armadale were some of the best in the state and now the City of Armadale was spreading the word with a new festival.

The city will launch the spring into Armadale festival next week with a vibrant, diverse calendar of events from August 15 to October 31.

The festival would showcase Armadale as the place to be, explore and experience throughout the upcoming spring months.

The city worked with community groups, tourism and small businesses to create the festival of events that promoted the Armadale region to the local community and those from the greater Perth region.

Armadale mayor Henry Zelones said the festival had been a catalyst for the city to work with groups and the local artistic community to establish new events. “The city has identified more than 150 events that will be occurring in the region from August to

October including the Araluen botanic park tulip spring festival,” he said.

“The festival is a unique series of community events that provide opportunity for all to participate which includes arts, culture, food, wine and nature experiences in the Armadale and hills region during spring.”

The festival included the Araluen botanic park spring events, the highland gathering, Perth kilt run, country markets, bush walks, art exhibitions and sporting championships.

Events like the hawkers markets would also return and furry friends were not left out with the dog’s day out on October 25.
