Students spread joy to their peers

Thornlie Senior Highschool Woodwork teacher Bill Davies was delighted with how much Georgia and Vinica, enjoyed the gifts.

Pre-primary students at South Thornlie Primary School were recently delighted to receive 40 hand-crafted woodwork toys, including a rocking horse as donations from Thornlie Senior High School.

These were presented by Thornlie High School woodwork teacher Bill Davis and his Year 9 students, on Wednesday December 6, to use in the classrooms and take some gifts home with them.

The year 9 students at Thornlie Senior High school donate their masterpieces annually as a good will gesture to bring joy to people’s lives.

The initiative is a fabulous way for students to interact with each other and for the older students to explain how they made the toys. The children all had a great time playing with the gifts.

This put big smiles on the students faces at South Thornlie Primary School.
