The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s 2023/2024 major events calendar has something for everyone from sunset cinemas and community barbeques, to the much-anticipated Christmas Street Festival and Muddy Buddies.
Launching last week, Shire President Michelle Rich said the depth and breadth of the events planned this year ensured a diverse mix of events for all ages to enjoy.
“We’ve listened to our community’s feedback and are excited to cater to a wide range of interests. All the events are designed to bring our community together, getting to know each other in fun, informal spaces throughout SJ,” she said.
The Major Events Guide hit letterboxes last week, highlighting the 19 major events scheduled. This will be the last year the shire delivers to all letterboxes, instead transitioning to a digital guide which can be easily referenced throughout the year for those looking for something to do. Hard copy guides in future years will be available for those residents who don’t have access to a computer or prefer to receive a hard copy version.
All events are free and either run or supported by the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

- Jarrahdale Log Chop (1 October)
- Community Night Festival (6 October) – an opportunity to connect with local emergency services and learn about bushfire readiness.
- Breakfast & Ride to School (13 October)
- State Show jumping Championships (21 October) at the Serpentine Jarrahdale Horse and Pony Club
November 2023:

December 2023:
