Quarry Farm was a hive of activity last weekend as thousands flocked to attend the annual SJ Food and Farm Fest.
SJ Food and Farm Alliance president Merri Harris estimated at least 3000 people entered through the gates for what was a fun, family-friendly event enjoyed with spectacular autumn weather.
The new venue gave organisers more flexibility in terms of activities, with camel rides, petting zoos and gumboot throwing proving to be crowd favourites.
“It was a huge success, with the word ‘fabulous’ being used countless times to describe the day’s activities,” she said.
“A huge thank you to Quarry Farm for hosting the event, as well as all the sponsors and volunteers and the stall holders, all of whom made this a day to remember and an event to look forward to next year.”
