Everyone wants to see their child reach their full potential, which is why the City of Armadale is hosting a range of events this week as part of National Children’s Week.
Events include arts activities and outdoor fun, as well as workshops for people of all ages.
Mayor Henry Zelones said the national celebratory week was the perfect time to create awareness of the needs and achievements of children in the city.
“Children’s Week is an opportunity to put the focus on nurturing the children of today to ensure they are supported in reaching their full potential,” he said.
“It’s also a good forum for the talented young citizens in our community to get together and showcase their skills and capabilities.”
Children of all ages are encouraged to take part in the week-long activities which include story telling, singing songs and socialising at a Play in the Park playgroup.
The Piara Waters Community Festival on October 28 also forms part of the celebrations.
National Children’s Week celebrations continue until Sunday, October 29.
