The Jarrahdale Heritage Society has been taking visitors for walks around Jarrahdale for over thirty years, stoking a love for the unique natural forest environment.
In the late 1990s their annual walks program had more than 20 walks each year.
Over the years the society has had maps and books printed, and developed various walks, including wheelchair access trails.
Their walks are particularly popular with those looking for something extra, with historical stories punctuating the vistas.
The society is currently looking for a new team leader for the 2024 program to ensure the walks program continues.
The coordinator is responsible for the preparation of a program, first aid training, the website and booking system, preparing for each walk, and reports.
It is a voluntary position but some expenses may be reimbursed with the authority of the JHS committee.
