The Jarrahdale Heritage Society is teaming up with the Jarrahdale Community Collective to host a post-election quiz night.
“We are hoping to attract a full house – there are some fantastic prizes, with the local businesses being exceptionally generous,” Heritage Society’s Diana Henniker said.
Test your knowledge with a professional quiz master, and take part in a silent auction – all while supporting a great cause – at the Bruno Gianatti Hall from 7 to 10pm on May 3.
The quiz night will act as a fundraiser for the two not-for-profits who contribute a range of vital social events and services for the community.
The Heritage Society is currently committed to an Oral History programme which is endeavouring to capture as many stories as possible from Jarrahdale residents past and present.
To aid them in this work, they are looking to purchase new recording equipment with transcribing ability.
With the Heritage Society taking a one-year hiatus from their beloved annual Ghost Walk, it’s hoped this quiz, and another fundraiser held later this year, will raise the needed funds for them to preserve Jarrahdale’s unique history.
