Roadworks on Denny Avenue will continue for some time, causing nightly train closures during the coming months.

The anticipated Davis Road rail-over-road underpass is under way as the rail is slowly raised and road network lowered.

The train line between Gosnells and Armadale will be closed nightly for five-day periods during January, February and March as construction continues.

A Public Transport Authority spokesperson said rail replacement bus services would be in place and run as close to the train timetable as possible.

“As with all rail closures, we do our best to ensure the impact on passengers is minimised, which is why we have scheduled these disruptions for the evenings when patronage is much lower,” she said.

“We’d urge passengers who may be impacted by these disruptions to visit the Transperth website, sign up for My Alerts, download the Transperth app or call the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 for more information.”

The level crossing is set close by June 2021, replaced by the rail-over-road underpass.

The entire Denny Avenue project is estimated to finish by the end of the year.
