The Run and Become Squad were proud of Trevor's success.

A rising local track star has had the race of his life at the weekend, bringing home the bling from the Western Australia State Athletics Championships.

Byford’s Trevor Moyo (23), who is a mining engineer grad student, won the silver medal in the 100 Metres.

Trevor secured his place in the finals of the State Championship with a new personal best time of 10.71 seconds.

Thankfully he left plenty of rocket fuel in the tank, blitzing the field with an all-time personal best of 10.57 in the final.

But he wasn’t finished there, Trevor also made the final of the 200 Metres with another new PB.

Trevor does a lot of his training at the Bill Hicks Reserve with the Run and Become Athletic Club, and according to athletics coach Keith Redpath: “he has improved significantly over the last few months and is still improving so is one to watch for in the future”.
