An undercover police vehicle was damaged in a crash last week after it collided with a stolen vehicle in Seville Grove.

Regional Operations Group officers were conducting patrols in the Seville Grove area at about 1.40pm on September 3 when they sighted a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

It was alleged the driver evaded police through several streets in Armadale and Seville Grove.

In Challis Road, opposite Bob Blackburn Reserve, the vehicle drove onto a verge before turning in front of an undercover police vehicle, causing front-end damage to the vehicle.

Four people ran from the vehicle but were soon apprehended nearby.

A 26-year-old Mirrabooka man was charged with no authority to drive (never held), reckless driving to escape pursuit by police, failing to comply with a direction to stop and stealing a motor vehicle.

He will appear at the Armadale Magistrates Court on October 4.
