Canning Vale Police patrolled several areas in Piara Waters last week after receiving numerous reports of thefts from vehicles.
According to Canning Vale Senior Sergeant Quentin Flatman police received reports of 11 vehicles being broken into in just one week.
“Overnight on September 17 police received three reports of thefts from vehicles while overnight on the following night (September 18) police were informed of eight vehicles being broken into,” he said.
“Unfortunately half of those incidents had items in the car including wallets, handbags, iPads, laptops and mobiles.
“When these people are committing offences and they are getting at least a 50 per cent strike rate then they will likely continue that behaviour.”
Snr Sgt Flatman said police patrolled specific areas overnight on September 19 and since then they had not received any reports of thefts from vehicles.
Anyone who has witnessed suspicious behaviour or has CCTV footage is encouraged to report it to police on 131 444.
