Victims of crime now have a place to go for help with compensation claims

250
CAB volunteers Corrina and Laurel are trained to assist Criminal Injury Compensation applicants, by checking forms and processes.

A new service for victims of crime is available at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Armadale Central Shopping Centre.

If you have been a victim of a criminal offence, you can claim compensation if you have suffered pain and suffering, bodily harm, mental and nervous shock, loss of income, or pregnancy resulting from an offence.

The Armadale Citizens Advice Bureau is now offering free assistance in completing an application for compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation office, with a trained volunteer.

In the new year, the CAB will also be able to help fill out all sorts of official forms, and give assistance to people needing to access online and paper applications.

Free appointments can be booked for Thursday and Friday at the Armadale CAB in the Central Shopping Centre.

Call to book on 9497 5111.
