More than 60 dogs headed along with their owners to Serpentine Oval at the weekend to take part in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s Paws in the Park event.
Held as part of the shire’s summer series the free event included health checks by veterinarians and nurses from Mundijong Veterinary Hospital, pet accessories, doggy high tea, a bouncy castle and face painting.
Neighbourhood Watch and the RSPCA were also at hand to answer any questions and educate residents about responsible pet ownership.
A Facebook competition to win a professional photoshoot received hundreds of entries with three-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier-ridgeback cross Krypto from Byford taking out the top prize.
